If you are an active member in the Lexington arts community I want to tattoo you!

When I’m not using my creative energy on visual art I’m typically following my other passions like the performing arts. I often work on the production staff at live events and venues as well as perform experimental electronic music at least 3-4 times a year. I love live music and especially love community events with live music and performance. I feel that when we gather to observe the arts as a community we grow closer to each other and we are able to share experiences of a deeper nature than our beliefs and ideals. Empathy is born in shared experience and music is a universal language that creates space for that experience.

Here in Lexington we have tons of community events that are often free to attend. In particular is Tahl Sound on Southland drive. Now in its tenth year Tahl Sound concerts showcase a different genre of music once a month for 6 months of the year. The festival is donation based, all ages and features local food and drink vendors as well as local artist booths. It’s really beautiful to see a whirlwind of independent local people bring so many talents together so we can share a moment as a community.

So, I was thinking that a fun way to say thanks for being there and also incentivize anyone who hasn’t been before that I could do a raffle for some free tattoo time. Here’s the plan:

Look for an announcement of where I’ll be on the website or on socials. (Hint - I work the front gate at Tahl Sound)

Find me at the event and ask to enter the raffle.

Scan the QR and go enjoy the hang!

I’ll contact and announce the winner the following day and they will receive $300 of tattoo time. Now get out there and enjoy shared experience and our thriving arts community!
